kinlab, the 3D kinematic modeler
kinlab is a Java 3D based solid modeling tool. Its editor allows you to interactivly build kinematic models.
In the editor view you define a tree structure of solid geometric components. Each component has a spatial relationship (either fix or variable) with its parent. We call the variable spatial relationships kinematic links.
Structure and links allow the construction of kinematic models, ranging from simple games to complex parallel robots.
